While everyone was happy to see Ewan McGregor back as the iconic Jedi, not every Star. Set ten years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, the series is directed by Deborah Chow, with Joby Harold serving as showrunner. The Obi-Wan Kenobi Series May FINALLY Fix a Star Wars Fashion Plot Hole While Obi-Wan Kenobis Jedi robes are iconic, alternate fashion choices might aid in his attempts to hide from the Empire in the Star Wars series. As I write that it doesn't sound an inspiring pitch for a series (!) but that is none the less what he was supposed to have been doing all those years on Tatooine. Obi-Wan Kenobi ran for six episodes on Disney +, but for many fans and critics that was simply too long. Obi-Wan Kenobi is an American television miniseries created for the streaming service Disney+, featuring the Star Wars character of the same name. Surely this would've been a more interesting spin off if they'd taken the harder route of trying to write a more introspective view of him dealing with the defeat of the Jedi order at the hands of the Republic & living a life of solitude as he maintained his lonely vigil. The plots are poor & completely fly in the face of him deliberately trying to slip off the face of the universe so he can keep a watchful eye on the young Luke whilst trying to make sure Darth Vader never comes a knocking. The same can be said of this whole ‘back story'. Bookended by strong opening and closing chapters, Obi-Wan Kenobi bridges the gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope to satisfying effect. Disney+ says that the series takes place about 10 years after 'Episode III: Revenge of the Sith,' which saw Obi-Wan go into. And considering that it premiered right after the Kenobi series, we all know that it is unavoidable to think about the possibility that Obi-Wan will appear in Andor. 'Obi-Wan Kenobi' is sandwiched between the prequels and original trilogy. He struggled manfully in the role but just never had the gravitas. Fresh off the heels of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, Andor is a prequel story to Cassian Andor’s journey to becoming a Rebel and his early life as a Rebel spy and assassin. Very disappointing, whilst I actually really like Ewan McGregor, this series compounds the appalling error of ever casting him as Obi Wan.
